Description
The Yongnuo YN 40mm f/2.8 is a compact fixed-focal length standard lens designed to work with full-frame cameras equipped with the Nikon F mount. The Yongnuo Forty is for those looking for a bright, slightly wider than the classic 50mm lens at an affordable price.
The optical construction consists of 6 lenses arranged in 4 groups. The lens is compatible with full frame sensors, but will also work well with cameras equipped with an APS-C sensor. The six-blade aperture combined with the f/2.8 aperture provides shallow depth of field and pleasing background blur. The YN 40mm has a built-in autofocus system, with a minimum focus distance of 0.30 metres. On the housing of the YN 40 mm there is an MF/AF switch and a manual focus ring. The lens also features a 58 millimetre filter thread and a micro USB port for software updates.
