The Saramonic Blink500 B3 is a wireless audio kit that includes a receiver, transmitter and tie microphone. The system provides high quality sound for recording, vlogs, presentations or interviews.
The B3 model is exclusively aimed at those filming with mobile devices with Lightning input using stabilisers or “selfie” sticks. The system is dedicated to Apple brand users (iPhone, iPad).
The receiver and transmitter pair up easily only once, using the digital frequency (2.4 GHz) The system’s range is 50 metres in free space between the receiver and transmitter. The components of the kit are compact devices that do not weigh down a smartphone or tablet, adding to the aesthetics in the design.
The receiver (RXDI) is the smallest and lightest component of wireless systems produced on the global market. In size, it resembles an adult-sized finger and weighs just 11 grams. The RXDI is equipped with a certified Apple-branded input – the Lightning connector.
The system’s transmitter (TX) has a built-in microphone with volume control on the side panel. The sensitivity of the built-in microphone is specified to -42 dB, suggesting that the user place the transmitter close to the speech apparatus. A tie-mounted microphone is included by the manufacturer to capture even better sound values and the possibility of concealing it.
The transmitter is charged using a USB-A/USB-C cable to any power source, such as a laptop, computer or traditional charger. The receiver is powered directly from the device, as it does not have a built-in battery.
